Community Guidelines
Traditional social networks moderate isolated posts. PLOT connects people through shared creative objects. These principles ensure that co-creation remains playful, respectful, and safe for everyone.
Respect the Canvas
When you contribute to someone’s Plot, you are entering a shared room. Build on their energy, match the vibe of the seed, or add a perspective that enriches the collective memory. Don’t vandalize ongoing threads with non-sequitur spam or malicious disruptions.
Branch Instead of Overwriting
The beauty of a tree structure is that you never need to destroy one person’s ending to explore your own. If a story is heading in a romantic direction and you want it to become a sci-fi comedy, branch it into a parallel fork. Both paths can thrive side by side.
Consent & Camera Roll Etiquette
Co-creating real-life memories (like a road trip or campus party) means featuring real people. Always ensure that the friends featured in your shared photos and clips are comfortable having those moments immortalized on the canvas.
Raw Authenticity Over Performance
PLOT is designed as an antidote to aesthetic perfectionism. You don’t need color grading, influencer lighting, or professional scriptwriting to contribute. A 5-second shaky clip or a 3-word punchline is often the spark that makes a Plot iconic.
Zero Tolerance for Harassment & Hate
Every participant is entitled to feel secure. Hate speech targeting race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or religion results in immediate expulsion from the early-access beta and forfeiture of reserved handles.
Reporting & Human Moderation
During early access, all reported branches and flags are inspected directly by our human safety team within 2 hours. If you see any contribution that infringes on your rights or violates these standards, click the three dots (…) on the card or email moderation@plot.social.
